Objectives of the Course

To understand systematic of nematodes, to learn identification methods and have knowledge about evolutioanry developments of nematodes.

Course Content

Taxonomy of nematodes, the identification methods of nematode species, the identification methods of nematode species, preparation methods of permanent nematode slides, morphometric measurements, DNA isolation from nematodes, sequence analyses, importance of phylogenetic trees, comparison of nematode groups, identification of plant parasitic nematodes, identification of insect pathogen nematodes, identification of saprophytic nematodes, identification of predatory nematodes, symbiotic relationship of nematode-bacteria.
