Objectives of the Course

This course is designed for students who especially work with fungi. Our aim is to teach the students basic properties of Aspergillus and Penicillium genus

Course Content

The classification and cultural characteristics of the genera Aspergillus and Penicillium, the cultural media and culture types of Aspergillus and Penicillium, cultural and microscobic characteristics of Aspergillus and Penicillium, the storage of Aspergillus and Penicillium cultures

1.To be able to learn the Microfungi isolation from the environment
2.To be able to learn the taxonomy and the basic concepts of the genera Aspergillus and Penicillium
3.To be able to acquire the cultural characteristics of the genera Penicillium and Aspergillus
4.To be able to understand the structure morphologies of the genera Aspergillus and Penicillium
5.To be able to learn the cultural media of the genera Aspergillus and Penicillium
6.To be able to learn the identification of the genera Aspergillus and Penicillium
7.To be able to learn to use diagnostic key of the genera Aspergillus and Penicillium
