Objectives of the Course

It aims to give information about histologic preparation of animal tissues for examining by light microscope.

Course Content

Histological preparation steps; Removal of tissue from living organisms, fixation, dehydration, clearing, embedding (paraffin blocking), sectioning (microtome), various staining techniques,mounting, evaluation under the microscope.

1.Have knowledge about advanced preparation techniques achieved in histological examination methods.
2.Gains more comprehensive and advanced knowledge and understanding by using laboratory tools and equipment.
3.Takes sections from tissues using a microtome.

The preparation steps removing tissues, aim of fixation, choosing and preparation of fixatives.

Removing tissues from living organism andpreparation of fixatives.

The rules of fixation, negative factors that effects the fixation, dehidratation and clearing, choosing of used materials.

The rules of fixation, negative factors that effects fixation, the aim of dehidratation and clearing choosing of used materials (Contuniation) Rules of the process of fixation.
