Objectives of the Course

The aim of this course is to enable students to have basic information about the ecology of vector species.

Course Content

Systematic, Ecology, Geographical distribution, abiotic and biatic factors, Vector capacity, medical importance of vector organisms, habitats of vectors, life cycles, Life table characteristics, general morphological characters of vectors, relationship between climatic parameters and vector fauna in Turkey, Vector control methods, insecticide resistance mechanisms
