Objectives of the Course

Definition and history of cell culture, issues to be considered during the reproduction of human and animal cells in culture media, usage areas of cell culture methods.

1.Knows what cell culture is and cell culture classification.
2.Knows and defines the characteristics of the cell culture laboratory and the equipment that should be in the laboratory.
3.Knows and defines the basic media content required for cell culture.
4.Knows how to do cell counting.
5.Know and define contamination and sources of contamination.
6.Know how cells are passaged, backed up and under what conditions they are stored.
