This course aims to analyze how art production has transformed in the digital age within the framework of media aesthetics and the place of performance art in this transformation. Students develop a critical perspective on performance aesthetics by thoroughly examining media theories and concepts such as intermediality and post-dramatic structure.
The course evaluates the impact of media technologies on artistic forms of expression within an aesthetic context. Postmodern visual culture, digital art forms, virtual performances, interactive narratives, and AI- based staging are discussed in the course. Students' research skills are supported through presentations and project work.
