Objectives of the Course

Examination of Quorum Sensing systems in microorganisms, their functions and biotechnological applications at molecular level, learning in terms of agricultural biotechnology applications in the light of current literature

Course Content

Quorum Sensing mechanisms, which are the communication mechanism between microorganisms, expression of related genes, functions of QS proteins, QS phenotypes, inhibition strategies of QS systems (Quorum Quenching mechanisms), Prokaryote-Eukaryote QS interactions, QS biotechnological applications

1.To have up-to-date information about QS systems, their importance and applications in microorganisms.
2.To have knowledge about QS strategies in agricultural biotechnology applications
3.Establishment of gene protein and phenotype relationships in biofertilizers
4.Learning prokaryote-prokaryote, prokaryote-eukaryote relationships at gene and protein level
5.Learning the literature of QS systems in the field of Agricultural Biotechnology and Agricultural Engineering and gaining the ability to design projects
