Objectives of the Course

The aim of this course is to give information about the genetic resources and agricultural plants of our country, to give information about the collection, conservation and protection of plants. Learning the genetic resources and their importance in terms of agriculture and biotechnology. To give information about in situ and ex situ conservation studies for conservation of genetic resources

Course Content

Our gene resources and agricultural importance, gene and seed banks. Conservation and preservation methods of gene resources. Importance of gene resources in terms of plant breeding, in situ and ex situ conservation.
