Objectives of the Course

The course aims to comprehend the international dimension of human rights from political and legal perspectives, to examine international human rights institutions and conventions, to examine problematic areas of human rights and to establish assumptions about the future of human rights.

Course Content

Philosophical foundations of human rights, historical turning points, the place of human rights in the international system, global and regional human rights conventions, humanitarian intervention, humanitarian law and current debates.
