Objectives of the Course

To direct history students to be a good reader, researcher and writer of history by comprehending the purpose and usefulness of history.

Course Content

Definition of history, the subject of historical science; basic qualities, the role of historical research in social development; general information about procedure, method, method, science, knowledge and scientific research, stages and characteristics of scientific research, relations between historical science and other sciences; auxiliary scientific fields of investigation, parts of history, types of historiography, sources of history and evaluation of historical sources, analysis, criticism and composition in history. Philosophy of history, history, language, narrative and literature. The way to be followed during the research and the rules to be followed.

1.Students who successfully complete this course will have sufficient knowledge about historiography and comprehend them.
2.Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to have knowledge of sources and know how to use information.

4.Students who successfully complete this course gain the necessary equipment for historical research.
