Objectives of the Course

The population of healthy elderly increases along with the development in the technology. The proportion of elderly who lives a long and healthy is increasing with the needs in the consumer market. Th aim of the course is to be aware of individual consumption requirements of the elderly and to give information about ways to benefit from technology in the elderlys’ social and daily life.

Course Content

There are regulations related to adaptation to changing and developing world of the elderly and to meet expectations of the elderly about effective participation in the socio-cultural environment. It is predictable that technological developments make the elderly life easier however how elderly will adapt to these changes. What arrangements should be done for elderly healthy people to travel without restriction in a safe environment ? How changing the natural environment and climate changes will affect the elderly? issues will be discussed.
