Objectives of the Course

To ensure the protection of the physical and psychosocial health of newborn's and those necessary for the development of midwifery knowledge and skills and innovation to address these issues and that the current approach is to follow.

Course Content

This course newborn postnatal adaptation, newborn screening tests newborns for evidence-based care and practices, risk neonates biological and psychosocial risk factors, neonatal resuscitation, transport, neonatal and children's legal status in Turkey, newborns and children to improve the situation in the midwife's position and the role involves pain and infection in newborns.

1.Being able to determine the action on the newborn's care needs and to plan appropriate care
2.To be able to know physiology of the newborn, evaluate newborn and meet the needs of care
3.Improving the health of newborns to make applications
4.To explain in Turkey newborns and children position and role of midwives in improving the condition
5.To be able to integrate issues related to the educational process and improve independent learning, reading, studying and research skills
