Objectives of the Course

Maternal and infant mortality in the prevention of midwives responsibility to teach the pregnancy and the postpartum period, maternal and neonatal faced risky situations and complications detection and management are required in the midwifery knowledge and skills and to address these issues innovations and current approach to follow is to provide.

Course Content

This course in the world and in Turkey maternal and infant health, maternal and neonatal causes of death and should be done during pregnancy and postpartum hemorrhage and management, hypertensive disorders in pregnancy, emergency obstetric care, fever and infection management, safe blood transfusion requiring immediate care of newborns and in an emergency situation analysis covers the newborn

1.To explain maternal, neonatal mortality in the world and in Turkey the causes and measures
2.To be able to detect complications and risky situations requiring emergency intervention during pregnancy, delivery and postpartum period
3.Newborns to detect risky situations and to plan appropriate care
4.To be able to integrate issues related to the educational process and improve independent learning, reading, studying and research skills
5.To be able to give appropriate care in pregnancy, delivery and postpartum period requiring urgent intervention and risky situations
