Objectives of the Course

The purpose of this course is to ensure students to gain analyse skills and have information about issues like addiction, its etiology, epidemiology, substances causing addiction and their effects, preventing addiction, nursing approaches in addiction treatment and prevention, results of addiction.

Course Content

In this course; issues like diagnose criterias of addiction, theories related to addiction, substances causing addiction, treatment of addiction and role of nurses, nursing interventions, legal and forensic issues in addiction will be discussed.
