Objectives of the Course

At the end of this course provides a basic introduction to the main philosophical questions corcerning ontology, epistemology and methodology. In this way students will have understanding of what science is, how it can be distingueshed from other ways of knowledge, and how scientific explanation works.

Quantitative and Qulitative Measurement, the place of philosophy at theory construction, Causal Model Types in the Social Sciences, functional explanation, the explanation of rational choice, evulationary explanation
