Objectives of the Course

Illuminating important concepts such as modernization and laicism that prepared Turkish Republic and showing development of philosophy in Turkey.

Course Content

The Turkish thinking in Pagan and Islamic periods (the period before the Tanzimat) and Turkish philosophy since the Tanzimat period will be discussed.
