Objectives of the Course

Introduce knowledge skills about neurophysiology. Present novel scientific data to participants.

Course Content

Introduction to nervous system, neuron (axon types); Excitation in neurons, action potential, conduction; Motor functions and reflexes of medulla spinalis; Brain, brain stem, basal ganglia, reticular formation, lymbic system, hypothalamus, Thalamus; Cerebellum and its functions, cortex, motor and sensorial areas, learning; Motion and position, controlled voluntary actions, Vegetative functions of the body; Autonomic nervous system; Sympathic system; Parasympathic system; Nervous system physiopathology.
