Objectives of the Course

Energy concept, energy costs of different exercises, energy pathways of organism, recovery after exercise.

Adaptation of different physiological systems to acute and chronic exercise, acute and chronic adaptation mechanisms. Exercise in different environments. Measurement methods in exercise physiology

1. Explains the usage areas of physiology in sport activities by examining different aspects of exercise physiology.
2. Indicates which physiological values ??and how to benefit from training programs.
3.Examines the relationship between systems and reflects on training programs.

Week 1 - Theoretical
Introduction to Exercise Physiology; short history and various definitions
Week 2 - Theoretical
Energy sources (aerobic, anaerobic pathways). Aerobic glycolysis, Krebs cycle, ETS.
Week 3 - Theoretical
Measurement of energy cost and energy consumption of exercise, recovery after exercise
Week 4 - Theoretical
Functional properties of skeletal muscle, muscle fiber types.Muscle sensory organs and movement control
Week 5 - Theoretical
Weight-training harmonies with the nervous-muscular system.
Week 6 - Theoretical
Hormonal changes in exercise and regulation.

Metabolic adaptations with training
