The aim of this course is to provide students with the ability to explain the basic concepts and principles of sustainability, to ensure the adoption of sustainable approaches in the planning and execution of tourism activities, thus developing the competence to make conscious and responsible decisions towards environmental, economic and social sustainability in the tourism sector.
Environmental, economic and social sustainability concepts in the tourism sector, basic principles of sustainable tourism policies and practices, sustainability practices in tourism enterprises, sustainable tourism and destination development, sustainable tourism and organizations, sustainable tourism project examples from Türkiye and the world.
