Programme Outcomes
1.Defines the basic concepts related to the food and beverage sector
2.Has knowledge about the organizational structure of food and beverage businesses and the internal and external environmental factors that affect them
3.Has sufficient technical culinary and gastronomy knowledge about the general information, nutritional values, and cooking techniques of food and beverages to be produced
4.Demonstrates basic level reading, comprehension, speaking, and writing skills in the English language.
5.Uses computer software and information and communication technologies at least at the Basic Level of the European Computer Driving License required by the field.
6.Gains sufficient awareness of basic legal issues, the universality of social rights, social justice, quality and cultural values, as well as environmental protection and occupational health and safety. Carries a sense of professional and ethical responsibility.
7.With the theoretical and practical experience gained, he/she analyzes the problems encountered in the industry and produces solutions.
8.He/she knows the procedures for banquet and catering organizations and participates as a team member in these organizations.
9.He/she explains various topics such as menu planning, cooking methods, presentation and service, material procurement, and inventory practices, and follows the innovations in the field. 1
10.He/she plans the cost management of food and beverages and the purchasing processes.
11.He/she knows and implements food safety and quality management systems, as well as has knowledge and skills in crisis management and first aid.
12.He/she demonstrates presentation skills within the scope of Turkish and World Cuisines by establishing effective communication in written, verbal, and non-verbal forms while practicing the culinary profession.
13.He/she acquires professional knowledge and skills in areas such as lifelong learning, process management, time management, entrepreneurship, etc., to support personal development.
