Objectives of the Course

The aim of this course is to teach students the processes of information systems analysis and design; and to equip them with fundamental knowledge and skills in system life cycle, requirements analysis, modeling techniques, and system design. Students will enhance their analytical thinking and problem-solving skills by understanding the development process of software solutions for real-world problems.

Course Content

This course covers topics such as the system development life cycle, requirements gathering and analysis, use case analysis, data flow diagrams, entity-relationship diagrams, UML modeling, user interface design, and system documentation. Students are also expected to develop sample projects in teams and prepare system analysis documents.

Name of Lecturer(s)
Learning Outcomes
1.Can define the system development life cycle and explain the phases of the software development process.
2.Can analyze user requirements and apply techniques for gathering system requirements.
3.Can model systems using UML tools such as use case, data flow, and class diagrams.
4.Can propose user interface design, data models, and architectural structure during system design.
5.Can contribute to the system analysis process within a team and document project deliverables.
