The aim of this course is to teach students the processes of information systems analysis and design; and to equip them with fundamental knowledge and skills in system life cycle, requirements analysis, modeling techniques, and system design. Students will enhance their analytical thinking and problem-solving skills by understanding the development process of software solutions for real-world problems.
This course covers topics such as the system development life cycle, requirements gathering and analysis, use case analysis, data flow diagrams, entity-relationship diagrams, UML modeling, user interface design, and system documentation. Students are also expected to develop sample projects in teams and prepare system analysis documents.
| 1. | Can define the system development life cycle and explain the phases of the software development process. |
| 2. | Can analyze user requirements and apply techniques for gathering system requirements. |
| 3. | Can model systems using UML tools such as use case, data flow, and class diagrams. |
| 4. | Can propose user interface design, data models, and architectural structure during system design. |
| 5. | Can contribute to the system analysis process within a team and document project deliverables. |
