The aim of this course is to teach students the basic types of materials used in the design and production of robotic systems, and the physical, mechanical and chemical properties of these materials. Within the scope of the course, students understand the importance of material selection in robotic applications in terms of performance, durability and efficiency. They also become aware of new generation materials and production technologies and prepare for sectoral applications.
Classification of materials, structural properties and internal structure, use in robotics fields
| 1. | Ability to identify the basic types of materials used in robotics (metals, polymers, ceramics, composites) |
| 2. | Ability to explain the mechanical, physical, chemical, electrical and magnetic properties of materials |
| 3. | Ability to relate materials used in different robotic components (body, sensor, actuator, etc.) |
| 4. | Evaluate the impact of material selection on robotic performance and durability |
| 5. | Follows current robotic material trends and research areas and develops awareness |
