Objectives of the Course

The aim of this course is to teach students the basic types of materials used in the design and production of robotic systems, and the physical, mechanical and chemical properties of these materials. Within the scope of the course, students understand the importance of material selection in robotic applications in terms of performance, durability and efficiency. They also become aware of new generation materials and production technologies and prepare for sectoral applications.

Course Content

Classification of materials, structural properties and internal structure, use in robotics fields
