The aim of this course is to develop students' manual skills, creativity, and aesthetic perspectives; to enable them to become familiar with different craft techniques and to create original designs through practice. The course also aims to support students' awareness of recycling, fine motor skills, problem-solving, productivity, and artistic expression abilities.
The course covers fundamental design principles, materials used in crafts and safe usage rules, production with recycled materials, paper art, wood painting, ceramic painting, macrame, rope art, jewelry design, decorative object production, fabric bag decorating, terrarium making, and creative do-it-yourself (DIY) applications. Throughout the course, students will design various products through individual and group work, and at the end of the term, they will present their works to evaluate their creative production processes.
