In this course, it is aimed to develop students’ knowledge and skills about basic electric control circuits.
In this course, it is aimed to develop students’ knowledge and skills about basic electric laws, using them in DC and AC current circuits and practicing, varieties of electric motors, their structures, connection to the circuits, utilization areas, varieties of control circuits, creating control circuit, characteristics of temperature control elements.
| 1. | Define the fundamental laws of electricity and apply these laws in direct current (DC) and alternating current (AC) circuit analysis. |
| 2. | Classifies the types, structural features, working principles and industrial uses of electric motors. |
| 3. | Reads the grid connection diagrams of different types of electric motors and performs appropriate electrical connection operations. |
| 4. | Detects possible electrical faults that may occur in motor and control circuits and develops appropriate solution methods. |
| 5. | Explains the structures and working principles of the elements (contactor, relay, time relay, button, etc.) used in control circuits. |
| 6. | Acts in accordance with occupational health and safety and quality management rules at all stages of laboratory and field operations. |
