Objectives of the Course

It is aimed to teach design principles of wind turbines and their applications.

Course Content

Turbin Wing Design / Syncronized Wind Turbins, Power Control of Wind Turbines, Mathematical Modelling of Wind Turbines, Relevant Simulations, Off-Grid Wind Power Systems, Grid-Wind Turbin Systems, Economic Life Expectancy of Wind Turbines

1.Explains the basic aerodynamic concepts and energy conversion principles used in wind turbine design.
2.Classifies the structural features of different wind turbine types and the technical functions of system components.
3.Creates two and three-dimensional models of wind turbine blade profiles using computer-aided design software.
4.Analytically evaluates the technical requirements of wind turbine power transmission mechanisms and generator systems.
5.Performs performance measurements and aerodynamic efficiency analyses of designed turbine models based on wind data.
6.Plans the mechanical and electrical assembly scenarios of wind turbine components in accordance with installation procedures.
7.Conducts wind power plant projecting activities in accordance with relevant quality standards and occupational health and safety legislation.
