Name of Lecturer(s)
Learning Outcomes
1.Explains the basic concepts of material science, crystal lattice systems, and atomic bond structures in the context of renewable energy technologies.
2.Classifies the characteristic properties of basic material groups, namely metals, polymers, ceramics, and composites, used in industrial production.
3.Analyzes the mechanical, thermal, electrical, and magnetic properties of materials within a theoretical framework and in accordance with technical data.
4.Identifies corrosion, wear, and environmental degradation mechanisms of materials in the working environments of energy production facilities and develops preventive maintenance methods.
5.Applies basic destructive and non-destructive material tests performed in the laboratory environment in accordance with quality standards and occupational health and safety legislation.
6.Participates in teamwork during material selection processes for project or research designs of renewable energy systems and assumes responsibility in making optimum decisions.
7.Evaluates the recyclability potentials of structural materials used in renewable energy systems according to green transformation and sustainability principles.
