Objectives of the Course

To be able to comprehend the basic physical quantities and unit systems in order to be able to adapt to the advanced education.

Course Content

Measurement systems, Basic and Derived Quantities, Vectors, Work and Energy, Load and Matter, Electrical Field, Gauss's Law, Electrical potential, Capacitors and dielectric, Magnetic Field, Ampere Law, Faraday's law, Induction, Magnetic Properties of Matter, Electromagnetism.

Learning Outcomes
1.Defines basic physical quantities and international unit systems (SI), and performs unit conversions in technical formulas in the energy field.
2.Explains the properties of vector quantities and applies mathematical calculations of vector parameters such as force, field, and velocity in energy systems.
3.Analyzes basic kinematic principles and laws of motion in the context of mechanical energy production mechanisms.
4.Distinguishes the physical and atomic properties of conductive, insulating, and magnetic materials used in renewable energy hardware.
5.Establishes the scientific relationships between the concepts of energy, work, and power, and performs thermodynamic efficiency analyses in mechanical and electrical systems.
