Objectives of the Course

The aim of this course is to enable students to acquire a solid understanding of the fundamental concepts of gender equality, human rights, and social justice; to critically evaluate inequalities encountered in society from scientific and ethical perspectives; and to develop the knowledge, skills, and awareness necessary to apply the principles of equality, inclusiveness, and social responsibility in their professional lives.

Course Content

This course covers the fundamental concepts of gender equality, human rights, equality and justice, family culture in Turkish society, gender roles, equal opportunities in education and working life, discrimination, gender-based violence, digital life and media, relevant legal frameworks, and equality policies within the context of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Through case studies and practical applications, students examine gender equality issues and relate them to professional practice.
