The aim is to enable students to comprehend the manufacturing methods used in machinery manufacturing, and to practically observe the functions, characteristics, and operations of the machine tools used. For this purpose, after the topics are covered theoretically, practical applications will be conducted in the Department's Mechanical Technology Workshop, and observations will be made in manufacturing facilities in the surrounding area.
Definition and Elements of Technology, Technology Transfer, Definition of Fitting, Its Place and Importance in Machine Building, Classification of Manufacturing Methods, Fitting Workshop Layout, Measurement and Control Tools and Other Auxiliary Tools Used in the Mechanical Technology Workshop, Marking and Cutting Operations, Screws, Tapping and Threading, Drilling Machine, Shaping and Planing Machine, Lathe, Milling and Milling Machines, Welding Types, Oxy-acetylene Welding, Submerged Arc and Gas Metal Arc Welding, Spot, Butt and Seam Welding, Brazing, Soldering, Forging and Casting, Rolling and Rollers, Industrial Applications of NC and CNC (Computer Numerical Control) Explanations (at a beginner level), Comparison of Conventional and CNC Machine Tools.
