Objectives of the Course

The course aims to equip students with the competence to draw and interpret technical

Course Content

The role and significance of technical drawing in industry, drawing instruments and equipment, lettering and numerals, line types, geometric constructions, the concept of projection, types of projection planes. View generation (orthographic projection). Dimensioning, definition and importance of perspective, perspective drawings. Sectioning, types of sectional views, section lines and angles, hatching principles. Dimensional tolerances, geometric tolerances. Surface texture symbols. Practical applications.

1.To use technical drawing tools and equipment accordance with the rules and techniques.
2.To draw different views of parts using the projection method, to read and interpret drawn appearance.
3.To understand the rules of sectioning, and section views of parts to draw, to interpret drawn section.
4.To draw perspective according to appearance of the parts.
5.To make dimensioning for the parts according to appearances or perspectives of the parts, to interpret dimensions.

Description of the course, information about the drawing instruments, explaining the actvities and operations of the course.

Introducing of drawing equipments, information about basic rules, line drawings and standart text.

Geometric drawings.
Week 4 - Theoretical
Projection theory, three-view drawing.
Week 5 - Theoretical
Three-view drawing, views have curved surface parts.
Week 6 - Theoretical
Three-view drawing, views have holes and cylindrical parts.

Completing the views, completing the missing views by using given views.
