Objectives of the Course

Ability to identify machines and their components, classify machines and their components based on their characteristics, and select appropriate components for machines. Ability to grasp the fundamental knowledge required for machinery and design.

Course Content

To teach the fundamentals of design, particularly in agricultural machinery. To teach basic stress types such as tension, shear, and combined loading, and to perform related calculations. To introduce commonly used machine elements in practice. To teach how to select appropriate machine elements for agricultural machinery and identify the necessary parameters for this selection.

1.Able to generally recognize machine elements.
2.Knows basic stress types and can use them in design.
3.Knows rivet, bolt, and weld types and can perform related calculations.
4.Knows motion transmission systems; can perform shaft and gear selection and calculations, and can design gearboxes.
5.Knows belt, pulley, key, and clutch types and can perform related calculations.
