Objectives of the Course

The objective of this course is to provide the necessary skills on how scarce resources should be used efficiently and in a way to achieve the determined purpose, by applying the laws and principles of general economic science to agriculture.

Course Content

The general characteristics of agricultural production, analysis of agricultural production factors, the use of general economic principles in terms of agricultural enterprises, agricultural marketing, agricultural financing applications, cooperatives in agriculture, agricultural policies, and comparison of Turkey and EU agricultural policies.

1.Ability to use production factors in agricultural enterprises in the most effective and efficient manner.
2.Ability to comprehend and solve the economic problems of agriculture by using the fundamental principles of agricultural sciences and economic science together.
3.Take part and provide consultancy in the fields of agricultural marketing, agricultural credit and financing, cooperativism, and investment projects in enterprises.
4.Evaluate and interpret national agricultural policies.
5.Examine the policies that can be implemented in terms of international competition in agriculture.
