Objectives of the Course

The aim of this course is to provide students with fundamental knowledge about the environment, sustainability, and the conservation of natural resources; enable them to evaluate current environmental issues; encourage the adoption of sustainable living principles; and develop individual environmental responsibility.

Course Content

This course covers the concepts of environment and sustainability, human–environment interaction, current environmental issues, climate change, sustainable use of natural resources, waste management, recycling, the zero waste approach, sustainable consumption, food waste, plastic pollution, energy efficiency, carbon footprint, green campus practices, the Sustainable Development Goals, and the reflection of environmental awareness in everyday life.
