To explain the reasons for government intervention in agriculture and policy objectives. To teach policy tools in achieving the determined policy objectives and ways to intervene agricultural markets To analyze potential effects of this intervention based on producers, consumers, food safety, agriculture-environment relations, rural development and agro-industry. Students should be able to understand comparatively national and international agricultural policy goals, objectives, instruments and their players and to analyze agricultural policy issues using methods of economic analysis.
General concepts (economics, agricultural economics and policy, theoretical and practical agricultural policy, national and international agricultural policy), national and international agricultural policy objectives, players, agricultural policy instruments (agricultural structure policy tools, tools for improving agricultural income levels in rural, regulatory tools for agricultural production and supply), various analysis of impacts of applications for government intervention in agricultural markets, international agricultural policy practices.
