The aim of this course is to introduce students to the concepts of physical activity, exercise, and public health; and to equip them with the practical competence to develop, implement, and manage social/corporate awareness projects, mass sporting events, and health communication strategies that promote active lifestyles by relating these concepts to the discipline of Public Relations and Advertising.
The topic encompasses the relationship between physical activity, sports, and public health; the risks of sedentary lifestyles and awareness of active living; corporate wellness programs and office exercises; campaign and event management processes (planning, budgeting, sponsorship, risk management) with a physical activity theme in public relations; and the use of digital technologies and wearable devices in health communication, along with ethical/legal boundaries.
