The main purpose of the Professional Development and Portfolio II course is to publish theoretically planned and drafted professional studies at the first stage by converting them into a final product on a live website or professional digital platforms in accordance with the current standards of the target sector. The course aims to enable students to Decouple from being passive candidates to actively network through LinkedIn and sectoral events, and to manage job search and offer evaluation processes professionally. At the same time, it aims to perfect the elevator speech skill, improve the stress and presentation management of the candidate with realistic simulations for technical interviews and case analyses. Ultimately, this course undertakes with the bridge mission of sending students to the job market as self-confident and fully equipped professional professionals by instilling the awareness that the portfolio is a "living dynamic file" that does not end with graduation and needs to be updated throughout their career.
The content of the Professional Development and Portfolio II course covers the process of transferring CV, preliminary articles and projects prepared as a draft in the previous semester to digital portfolio platforms or personal websites in accordance with the dynamics of the target sector and making them live at a professional level. Within the scope of the course, students learn active job search strategies, methods of communicating with industry leaders and job offer evaluation stages via professional networks such as LinkedIn Dec. The content is based on practical applications rather than theoretical explanations; it is supported by realistic job interview simulations such as technical interviews, case studies, elevator speech exercises and stress management. While soft skills such as corporate communication language, business ethics and professional image management are focused on during the semester, the process is completed by focusing on how to keep the portfolio up-to-date after graduation at the last stage of the course.
