Objectives of the Course

By learning about the concepts of physical activity, exercise, sports, and recreation, students can utilize these dynamic concepts across a wide range of areas, including corporate communication, employee motivation, and brand imagery, as a tool for public relations and event management.

Course Content

Basic principles of physical activity, sports recreation, and lifelong sport; corporate wellness and office workouts; design, budgeting, risk management, and public relations processes for sporting events, tournaments, and recreational campaigns.

Learning Outcomes
1.This explains the place of physical activity, sport, and recreation concepts in corporate communication and public relations.
2.Within the scope of internal and external public relations, it designs sporting events and physical activity programs suitable for the target audience.
3.It manages the planning, budgeting, logistics, and implementation processes of a sports recreation project.
4.In sporting events, they act in accordance with occupational health and safety, first aid awareness, and ethical and legal rules.
5.They present a developed sports or physical activity campaign using teamwork and effective communication skills.

Weekly Detailed Course Contents
Week 1 - Theoretical & Practice
The concepts of recreation, basic movement training, and physical activity will be covered theoretically, followed by an analysis of physical readiness and course resources.
Week 2 - Theoretical & Practice
The relationship between leisure sports and modern society will be examined, followed by an analysis of individual mobility and active living.
Week 3 - Theoretical & Practice
The role of sports and physical activity events in public relations will be examined, followed by a practical analysis of successful sports recreation examples from various organizations.
Week 4 - Theoretical & Practice
Corporate wellness, office exercises, and ergonomics theory will be presented, followed by practical desk exercises suitable for the work environment.
Week 5 - Theoretical & Practice
The planning stages of sports and physical activity events will be explained, followed by target audience planning for a corporate sports festival or walking event.
Week 6 - Theoretical & Practice
Budget, logistics, and materials management in sporting events will be covered, followed by practical budget planning for the planned tournament or competition.
Week 7 - Theoretical & Practice
Risk management, first aid awareness, and ethical/legal rules in physical activity areas will be conveyed, followed by a study of safety and legal permit scenarios in sporting events.
Week 8 - Intermediate Exam
A midterm exam will be held, followed by the submission and evaluation of corporate sports/recreation project proposals.
Week 9 - Theoretical & Practice
The relationship between lifelong sport, physical fitness (conditioning), and health will be examined theoretically, followed by simple and fun athletics and coordination games.
Week 10 - Theoretical & Practice
The presentation will cover digital tools and wearable technologies in sports recreation, followed by the design of a corporate challenge campaign integrating pedometers and sports applications.
Week 11 - Theoretical & Practice
Campus and community sports approaches will be discussed, followed by the implementation of campus-based outdoor physical activity and group exercise design.
Week 12 - Theoretical & Practice
Sports communication and sports sponsorship strategies will be presented, followed by work on preparing a sponsorship dossier for the developed sports project.
Week 13 - Theoretical & Practice
The marketing and public offering of sporting events will be covered theoretically, followed by a simulation of the launch of the designed sporting campaign.
Week 14 - Theoretical & Practice
The project presentations and evaluation criteria will be discussed, followed by presentations of the sports and physical activity campaigns prepared throughout the semester.
