To do mapping applications of geographic information systems.
To prepare the data that constitute Geographical Information Systems.
| 1. | Explains the fundamental concepts, components and application areas of GIS. |
| 2. | Defines GIS data structures (vector/raster); applies spatial database design and data collection methods. |
| 3. | Distinguishes coordinate systems and projection types; uses spatial reference systems in GIS. |
| 4. | Follows developments in GIS technologies in the field and transfers new technologies into professional processes. |
| 5. | Evaluates GIS applications in land registry, cadastre and urban planning; explains TAKBİS integration. |
