The primary objective of the Computer Programming program is to teach the methods and techniques required for the functional use of computer technology products—essential for both public and private sector organizations—and to train qualified individuals to work in these institutions. As Computer Programming is a rapidly evolving field applicable to numerous sectors both globally and in Turkey, the program aims to train the skilled workforce needed not only regionally but also on a national scale. A key feature of the program is the "3+1 Education Model," which allows students to gain practical work experience by working full-time at companies for one semester. Through this model, they have the opportunity to apply their theoretical knowledge to real-world projects and prepare for professional life by engaging directly with the industry. Throughout their two-year education, students acquire knowledge and skills regarding the application of technology across diverse environments through courses such as Web Design Fundamentals, Visual Programming, Mobile Programming, Computer Hardware, Graphics and Animation, Operating Systems, Internet Programming, Server Operating Systems, Database Management and artificial intelligence and automation. Graduates can launch their own ventures or fill the demand for IT personnel in the IT, software, hardware, network, or maintenance and repair departments of public and private sector organizations. Additionally, they have the option to establish their own companies specializing in sales, service, software, or hardware within their professional field.

The Computer Programming program was established within the Department of Technical Programs Department during 2000-2001 academic year. It began to take place under the Department of Computer Technology since 2011-2012 academic year. Starting from the 2026-2027 academic year, the “3+1 Workplace-Based Vocational Training (İME)” model is being implemented in this program. Accordingly, after completing their theoretical training at our Vocational School during the first, second, and third semesters, students will undergo workplace-based vocational training in the fourth semester—primarily in Aydın province, or, if that is not possible, in other provinces or abroad. The mission of the programme is to achieve success with the understanding of management that gives priority to participation and creativity based on tolerance and individual happiness in the libertarian environment while carrying out education-training and production services.

The programme's vision is to be the best and reputable educational institution in the field, privileged between qualities and vocational colleges, preferred by students, desired of graduates.

The Department of Computer Technology aims to develop qualified intermediate human power in the field of software and hardware that the sector needs.

It is conducted within the Aydın Vocational School, located on the Adnan Menderes University Central Campus. Students pursue their education in a modern university environment, taking advantage of the extensive facilities offered by the campus.

There are two computer laboratories and one hardware laboratory. All computer laboratories are equipped with internet access and a projector.
