Objectives of the Course

It is aimed to increase the value of the product by decorative processes and to facilitate the surface treatment by using industrial machines.

Course Content

Design phenomenon in the historical process. Furniture, design and furniture design. Design and art history, factors affecting furniture design. The separation of arts, art, aesthetics and so on. basic concepts, levels in environmental design. Basic design elements: point, line, direction. Examples of furniture and space. T. T. Elements: dimensions, concepts related to dimension, measurement criteria in furniture design, golden numbers, golden ratio, range. T. T. elements: form, psychological effects of form, basic forms, concepts, forms in furniture. TT elements: color, concepts, psychological effects of colors on furniture and space. TT elements: Tissue, concepts, furniture and space texture, value, concepts, tone value in the furniture, light-shadow, motion. TT principles: again, furniture and space rhythm, concepts of conformity and contrast. TT principles: sovereignty, hierarchy, equilibrium, concepts, furniture and space examples. TT Principles: unity, furniture and garden union concepts, basic balance types, furniture and space organization principles. Drawing of basic constructions and joints in furniture and decoration
