The aim of this course is to enable students to understand the scope, purposes and types of health services and to have knowledge about the classification and cascade of health services.
This course covers the definition, scope and place of health services within health systems. The classification of health services as preventive, curative, rehabilitative and health-promoting services is explained. In addition, the grading of health services as primary, secondary, tertiary and quaternary levels and the characteristics of the services provided at these levels are examined in detail.
