Objectives of the Course

The aim of this course is to train individuals who can analyze the historical development of healthcare services in Türkiye, critical turning points in health policies, and major reform processes such as the Health Transformation Program. The course aims to help students understand the structural evolution of the healthcare system and develop the ability to assess the social, economic, and political impacts of these changes.

Course Content

This course covers the historical development of healthcare services in Türkiye, the evolution of health policies, and reform processes. It examines structural changes in the healthcare system from the Ottoman era to the present day, including the Health Transformation Program and subsequent implementations. Students gain the ability to evaluate the social impacts of health policies and assess core principles such as sustainability and equity.
