Objectives of the Course

The aim of this course is to learn the concepts of health and disease, factors affecting health, basic immunological concepts and basic tests in the laboratory, molecular diagnosis methods of helminths, arthropods, protozoans, bacteria, and viruses that cause diseases in humans, and their applications

Concepts of health and disease, Factors affecting health, Tests showing the properties of Antigen Antibody association. Importance of molecular diagnostic methods. Basic cellular components and functions; Cell and macromolecules Protein synthesis and protein structure Structure of nucleic acids, cloning vectors, clonal DNA usage areas and analysis, Nucleic acid and protein analysis methods Bioinformatics methods and their use in molecular biology

1.Knows the fields of Health, Health Services
2.To have knowledge about tests showing the characteristics of Antigen Antibody conjugation
3.To have knowledge about cells, macromolecules, protein structure and functions and properties of nucleic acids.
4.To learn the structures of prokaryotic and eukaryotic chromosomes
5.Basic knowledge of DNA replication, damage, repair and recombination
6.To learn gene manipulations, cloning vectors, clonal DNA usage areas and analysis, examining gene libraries
7.To have knowledge about recombinant DNA technologies
8.To learn the analysis methods of nucleic acids and proteins
