The aim of this course is to enable students to understand the concept of volunteerism, comprehend the impact of voluntary activities on personal development and social solidarity, develop a sense of social responsibility, and encourage participation in volunteer activities across various fields.
"This course covers the definition, historical development, and social significance of volunteerism. The effects of voluntary activities at individual, institutional, and societal levels are discussed. The structures and functioning of non-governmental organizations and volunteer groups, as well as the processes of volunteer participation, are examined. The ethical dimensions of volunteerism are evaluated along with associated rights and responsibilities. Through fieldwork and sample projects conducted with the active participation of students, awareness and understanding of volunteerism are fostered.
