Programme Outcomes
1.Applies the knowledge of basic medical sciences (anatomy, physiology, pharmacology, microbiology and systemic diseases) in anesthesia practice.
2.Evaluates the patient before anesthesia, performs the required preparations and safely assists the anesthesiologist.
3.Participates in general, regional and non-operating room anesthesia and sedation practices as a member of the healthcare team.
4.Operates, checks and performs routine maintenance of anesthesia machines, monitors and related equipment.
5.Prepares anesthetic agents, intravenous fluids and blood products and contributes to their safe administration in accordance with patient safety principles.
6.Monitors vital signs, records patient data and reports possible complications to the healthcare team.
7.Participates in resuscitation, basic and advanced life support practices and performs cardiopulmonary resuscitation when required.
8.Contributes to the care, monitoring and treatment of intensive care patients as a member of the healthcare team.
9.Applies infection control, sterilization, aseptic and antiseptic principles in professional practice.
10.Works in accordance with occupational health and safety, environmental protection, patient safety and continuous quality improvement principles.
11.Communicates effectively, ethically and professionally with patients, relatives and healthcare professionals.
12.Acts in accordance with ethical principles, patient rights, legal regulations and professional responsibilities.
13.Uses medical terminology accurately and effectively utilizes information and communication technologies in professional practice.
14.Follows scientific developments in the field and continuously improves professional knowledge and skills through lifelong learning.
15.Uses Turkish effectively and demonstrates a basic level of foreign language proficiency to support professional practice.
16.Identifies professional problems, develops solutions, contributes to teamwork and assumes responsibility to work independently when required.
17.Contributes to improving patient safety and quality of care through evidence-based practice.
18.Interprets scientific research, epidemiological data and basic statistical information and applies them in evidence-based professional practice.
