Objectives of the Course

To provide knowledge about the factors affecting public health; to introduce chronic, infectious, and zoonotic diseases; to teach methods of protection against infections and intoxications; and to raise awareness about the importance of healthy nutrition and regular exercise.

Course Content

Within the scope of this course, an introduction to public health is provided and the factors affecting health are addressed; reproductive health, chronic diseases, infectious and zoonotic diseases, and immunity are examined. In addition, environmental health and foodborne diseases are evaluated; principles of healthy nutrition, healthy living, and exercise are emphasized. Furthermore, occupational health and safety, occupational diseases, and health practices in extraordinary situations are also discussed.
