Course Content

This course covers fundamental concepts and practices related to herd health and hygiene. Methods for preventing calf diseases will be explained, including vaccination programs and proper vaccination techniques. Additionally, metabolic disorders in adult cattle—such as ketosis, fatty liver syndrome, hypocalcemic milk fever, hypophosphatemia, and downer cow syndrome—will be examined, including their causes, symptoms, and preventive strategies. The course will also address the effects of feeding and management practices on herd health, preventive health applications, and early diagnosis methods, aiming to enable students to apply this knowledge in practical settings.
