Objectives of the Course

The aim of the course is to give basic information about local government, local governments in Turkey, legal / Introducing a general outline of the institutional dimension, the analysis of the establishment of the decentralization process and students is to increase the knowledge and level of understanding in this area

Course Content

Local governments, central-local distinction, democratization, economic, s, age, social administrative decentralization, EU cohesion policy, decentralization efforts in Turkey. Municipalities, non-governmental organizations, public-private partnerships

2.To be able to explain the concept of public participation in decision-making processes in local governments and its types.
3.To be able to explain the structure of local governments in the European Union.
4.To be able to explain the conceptual structure of local governments and the legal basis for the procurement of goods and services.
5.To be able to describe the concept of local government unions and their structure.
