Objectives of the Course

Painting, paper, and the definition and history of skin origin, historical monuments, construction materials, construction techniques, the causes of deterioration, restoration and conservation practices, protection policies and procedures, about the museum in preservation and exhibition conditions are intended to be knowledgeable.

Painting, paper, and the definition and history of skin origin, historical monuments, construction materials, construction techniques, the causes of deterioration, restoration and conservation practices, protection of the principles and methods of protection in museums and exhibition conditions, general evaluation.

Learning Outcomes
1.Photo paper and can provide information about the definition and history of the leather origin historical monuments.
2.Pictures, paper and construction materials can explain the origin of leather artifacts.
3.Painting, paper making techniques and can explain the origin of the historical monuments of the skin.
4.To provide theoretical knowledge about conservation and preservation of conservation culture and to gain skills and competence to restore those who have suffered damage.
5.They will be informed about the theoretical knowledge and all the studies that will be carried out with practical studies (photographic documentation, practical examples, bibliography etc.).

Week 1 - Theoretical
Painting, Paper, Leather Origin Definition and History of Historical Monuments.
Week 2 - Theoretical
CThe definition of the written work, the materials that make up the writing work on the samples, material information to be used in restoration.
Week 3 - Theoretical
Giving information about restoration of writing works.
Week 4 - Theoretical
Destruction of the artifacts and related examples.
Week 5 - Theoretical
Recognizing biological elements, fungi, microorganisms and insect damage and applications on paper. Documentation, cleaning of the writing work.
Week 6 - Theoretical
Environmental elements heat-light-moisture-contamination-damages caused by human identification and correction of incorrect repairs.
Week 7 - Theoretical
Japanese paper types in paper repair, scraping, cleaning, paper bonding.
Week 8 - Theoretical
Topic repetition (Midterm)
Week 9 - Theoretical
Restoration and Conservation Practices.
Week 10 - Theoretical
Restoration and conservation applications, Burusuk and rupture repair, broken page repair.
Week 11 - Theoretical
Restoration of damaged artifacts, opening of damaged sheets damaged by moisture, restoration and restoration of pulp in perforated sections.
