To know the history of mosaic art. To have knowledge about mosaic art, ancient mosaic production techniques, historical development of mosaic art and mosaic art in Anatolian civilizations. To have theoretical and practical knowledge about mosaic production materials, mosaic usage areas, mosaic making techniques, mosaic design (artistic, industrial type), mosaic assembly, mosaic material placement techniques, drying, control and packaging of mosaics.

To teach general information about traditional handicrafts, explanation and teaching of construction techniques of mosaics, which is a cultural value and a work of art, to identify the deterioration processes and to know the correct repair-protection methods. Repair techniques of mosaic material in atmospheric conditions will be examined, repair techniques will be taught and applications of mosaic material will be done.
